Stepping out of my comfort zone and taking a leap for cancer patients in need!

Three life-altering words - You have cancer. No one can ever be fully prepared to receive this diagnosis, and once you do, your life is forever changed. The drive home from the doctor's office on December 27th, 2021 will always stay with me, my mind swirling with countless questions. What steps should I take now? How will my family cope with this news?

Regrettably, this wasn't my first encounter with cancer. Both my parents had fought battles against breast, bone, and lung cancer. I have numerous family members and friends who have also faced this illness and have sadly lost many dear ones. Cancer doesn't discriminate – it affects family, friends, and individuals from all walks of life, each person's journey and fight unique.

Personally, I consider myself fortunate. I underwent a double mastectomy 7 weeks after I was diagnosed without needing chemotherapy or radiation, followed by the next five years on medication which is a small price to pay for my life. Many cancer patients face much more challenging battles and struggles than my journey.

Imagine if you had to decide whether you put aside chemo treatments or feed your family because mounting medical bills, not covered by insurance, has created a financial hardship within your household budget. You are questioning which is most essential, your health or food for the family. You are faced with a financial dilemma and unfortunately continuing with chemo treatments doesn't always win out.

Pink Revolution's Support Programs aim to alleviate the stress and anxiety that patients face, crucial for their recovery.

Picture this... a cancer patient no longer missing treatments and focusing on their well-being and battling cancer stress-free. This motivates me to step out of my comfort zone and overcome my fear of heights. While skydiving is daunting for me, it doesn't compare to the struggles these patients endure. Beating cancer inspired me, and now I am conquering my fear of heights, knowing I am making a difference.

Join me in creating positive change. Let's contribute to the greater good and support cancer patients in need. Your small donation will greatly assist me in reaching my goal for Pink Revolution Breast Cancer Alliance of NH Corporation.

Thank you for your encouragement and support!
